There has been a couple of hitches in the website process that has delayed things until October 10th. As far as the Armenia market is concerned, the rental end has become very tight over the last 90 days. I was able last week to get an American client into a beautiful 1500 square foot two story townhouse, three bedrooms, four baths, for $605US a month, in a beautifully maintained gated secure development. The home also features an office / tv area and a 200 square foot covered patio with a grass yard of about 300 square feet, rare her., All of it backs onto a bamboo forest with guatine, they are friendly little rodents about the size of a groundhog, and birds galore. For those who don’t know, Colombia has the most bird and flower varieties in the world so putting out feeders it is not unusual to attract parrots.
Visa requirements will be changing October 24th, and I will have a report on what they are then. Hopefully the “purchase” residency visa stays as is, that visa gives buyers of properties permanent residency if buying for 650 times the minimum monthly wage, at today’s exchange rate that converts to about $141K US. That will get a nice property, probably for about 25% of the cost of where you live now. Increasing a little to $175K US to $200K US, it will be one of your dreams, likely with a pool and beautifully landscaped in many cases. There is a good selection in that range now. If you would like information, please email or call, we can also schedule a Zoom contact that I find more efficient in exchanging information. Have a great day, I will be back with updates soon.
